Bolly Beauties in Lux ads

Bolly Beauties in Lux ads

Lux has been associated with more than 100 Bollywood beauties for years now. Let's have a pleasurable look at few of them to feature in Lux ad and also the nostalgia-tinted look at the amazing women from Indian cinema history who stood by the beauty soap.

Her looks varies dramatically, from earthy, to simple to super glam. No wonder Priyanka Chopra is the good choice to showcase the diversity of the Lux woman.

It never came as a surprise to us that country's most beautiful woman endorses the most visible beauty brand. No one carried the Lux bandwagon with such a great elan as Aishwarya.

If her mother, Babita endorsed the soap in the 1960s and sister, Karisma in 1990s, it's obvious for Kareena to carry on with the Lux legacy now. But there is a slight difference. It's chocolate that tempts Bebo.

How could 'Lux' had missed on Bollywood's mast-mast beauty? Raveena Tandon builds the 'Lux' brand equity with her hot and appealing face.

Diva Madhuri has surely been our Lux idol for ages. Lux has done the trick and guaranteed it's sale by featuring the hottest babe of the Bollywood. And why not she is the beauty gals can always look up to

Trip down the memory lane. Yestertyear actress and an oomph girl, Zeenat Aman was one of the most defined beauties for the Lux advertisement. She joined the Lux brigade in the 1970s.

Parveen Babi has been one of those rare stunners in her time. Having an enduring beauty she parallells the everlasting image of Lux.

Actress Sabiha Khanum modeled for 'Lux' ad in 1957. She made her presence felt as a most glamorous girl in that era.

Rekha's looks embody sophistication, class, appeal and grace. She has all ideal qualities, of the modern Indian woman Lux stood for

Bollywood was under-going change of colours in 1960's and so did 'Lux' with it's four rainbow range featuring Wahida Rehman. So Lux and Bollywood has always matched steps it seems.

She is the Lux inspiring beauty for the Bollywood babes. Saira Banu once narrated her stint with Lux saying, "I only liked the colour white so the brand changed the colour within months to accommodate my taste and that's how I did my first advertisement."

With this 1929 ad, Leela Chitnis became the first Indian actress to appear in any advertisement. She came off dramatically natural in her 'Lux' ad.

Rubik's Cube

Recently got a Rubik's cube as gift and was very impressed by it too. Here in this post i am going to share some information about the same.

Here we begin: The Rubik's Cube is a 3-D mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called the "Magic Cube", the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toys in 1980 and won the German Game of the Year special award for Best Puzzle that year. As of January 2009, 350 million cubes have sold worldwide making it the world's top-selling puzzle game. It is widely considered to be the world's best-selling toy.

In a classic Rubik's Cube, each of the six faces is covered by 9 stickers, among six solid colours (traditionally white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow).A pivot mechanism enables each face to turn independently, thus mixing up the colours. For the puzzle to be solved, each face must be a solid colour.

There are different variations of Rubik's Cubes with up to seven layers: the 2×2×2 (Pocket/Mini Cube), the standard 3×3×3 cube, the 4×4×4 (Rubik's Revenge/Master Cube), and the 5×5×5 (Professor's Cube), the 6×6×6 (V-Cube 6), and 7×7×7 (V-Cube 7).

Of Course I Love You..!.... Till I Find Someone Better...

Of Course I Love You..! Till I Find Someone Better
A few days back my eyes fell on a book titled “Of course I love you… Till I find someone better” by Durjoy Dutta and Maanvi Ahuja. The titled somehow appealed to me. I picked up the book.

Today i finished the book. It's really very interesting and witty. Simple story of a DCEite (a student of Delhi College Of Engineering) and his screwed up life devoid of placements, good marks, bad cat scores but full of girlfriends and plenty of Sex.
An audacious writing, funny and full of energy.

Imagination seldom runs wild, but when it does, you have a book. And this time it is
"Of Course I Love You..!....Till I Find Someone Better".

Autobiography of a Pen

autobiography of a pen..

i am a pen. Red and shiny i am, but i have always written in blue. Royally. she used to fondle me, kiss me, take me on her sojourns, through people, places and events...i have traveled so much...through pages and pages of her writing...her lucky pen she used to call me...

i remember her crying when she put me down accidentally one day, and dented my nib... (I still have a dented nib. and she reckons i write better that way...) and I so wanted to console her, write 'am OK. Really!' on the white sheet of paper she had before her. But alas i couldn't. Coz even though they call us mightier than the sword, we don't have a stand on our own. We can’t stand up. Nor can we express what we feel. we can write what our owners feel, what they want us to...nothing else...

i enjoyed running over pages, telling about all that she felt. ..Made me cry sometimes, reading what she wrote. That’s when i bled...and she went berserk at that coz bleed is what good pens are not supposed to do...if only she understood why i bled

i loved being with her. Lucky pen she used to call me...and proud i was of that status...

i am on the wait now...for her to pick me up...and give me some exercise. I miss reading into her mind. i miss being the first person to know what she felt. I miss her. She never comes to me these days. I see her fingers flying over black and white keys, her eyes fixed on a flickering white screen...they are her friends now. And i am neglected. they print what she says...but they will never smell her hand, nor see her beautiful writing...they will never bleed for her...nor will they think for her...

i stay in her pen ink once more and spill it all out for her...but i guess i wait in vain...

Regards
pen!
